ATTESTATION FROM MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
Ministry of External Affairs , Govt. of India under the Passport Act has established CPV( Consular Passport and Visa ) Division. All Policy Matters related to Passport Issuance in India, General Visa Policy & Visa requests from foreign Mission /Post Relating to legalization of Documents are initiated in India by the CPV Division(Attestation ) .

In general. Legalization/Attestation of Documents are required for the following Annexures..

ANNEXURE-1(For EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS).
Any Qualified (Degreee /Diploma )holder such as Doctors , Engineers ,Professors ,Nurses ,Paramedics ,Technicians, Pharmacists, Accountants, MBA Graduates etc seeking job abroad else Working abroad are required to attest their concerned documents from the Ministry of External Affairs prior to the Concerned Embassy Legalization .
Also students seeking Higher Education abroad are required to get their Certificates attested from the Ministry of External Affairs .

ANNEXURE 2 ( For PERSONAL/NON-EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS)
One Employed abroad  willing to Sponsor his/her Spouse/Parents/Children for Residence/Visit Visa -are required to get their personal documents such as Marriage/Birth/PCC etc legalized/attested from the Ministry of External Affairs prior to Concerned Embassy Legalization .
In addition to the above for Doctors/ Para-Medics /Nurses /Pharmacist it is required for them to get their Registration Certificates attested from the MEA. Also their Experience letters to be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs as per demand.

ANNEXURE 3 - (For COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTS)
Companies exporting Goods/Food Products/Medicines etc are advised to get their Manufacturing Licence /Halal/Invoice/IOrigin/Registration/Health/WHO/GMP certificates etc, attested from Ministry of External Affairs before proceeding to the Concerned Embassy.
Besides, Companies planning to expand their business abroad by setting up Branch/Trademark Registration/Company Registration etc are also required to get their Company's relevant documents attested from the MEA., erstwhile Embassy Attestation.
